Wiltshire Taser death man ‘died of unrelated injuries’

A man shot with a Taser by police died from unrelated injuries, an inquest has heard.

Terrence Bennett died in the incident at his home in Warminster, Wiltshire, prompting an Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation.

He was “restrained” by officers in the incident on 27 October and the Taser deployed, the watchdog said.

Mr Bennett, 44, died as a result of incised wounds to his neck and coronary artery disease, the inquest was told.

The hearing in Salisbury was adjourned.
