The firm, which has offices across the South and South West of England, has promoted 11 colleagues to partner, alongside six new Senior Associates and two Associates.

Around half of those promoted originally joined Thrings at the beginning of their legal careers, highlighting the firm’s commitment to developing talent from within.

Among those celebrating is Anna Patterson, who has been promoted to Partner in the firm’s Family team in Swindon.

She is joined by Lorna Medcraft, who has progressed to Senior Associate in the Real Estate team, while Jo Campbell, the firm’s Bristol-based Head of Business Development, has also been appointed Partner.

The promotions come as Thrings continues to expand its legal services across several key areas, including private client law, agriculture, property, planning and commercial disputes.

Seven lawyers have been promoted within the firm’s Private Client teams, including Holly Algar and Gemma Goode, who become Partners in Succession and Tax, and Richard Reed, who becomes a Partner in Residential Property.

The Agriculture team has also welcomed three new Partners, with Richie Rees and Polly Ridgway advancing from Legal Director positions and Claire Davies stepping up from Senior Associate.

Elsewhere, Naomi Butler has been promoted to Partner in Real Estate, while Joe Watkins becomes a Partner in the Corporate team.

Two senior business services appointments have also been made, with Jo Campbell and Head of Quality and Risk Sophie Boxall joining the partnership.

Other promotions include Senior Associate appointments for Megan Alexander, Dan Gibson, Sam Longmore, Kiran Maher and Moses Thompson, alongside Associate promotions for Jessica Moore and Annabel Rowland.

Simon Holdsworth, Managing Partner at Thrings, said:

“This latest round of promotions, including a record 11 new Partners, reflects the strength of our business, the high-quality service we provide to clients, and the success of our people.

“It’s particularly rewarding to see a significant proportion of those promoted having started their careers at Thrings.

“Congratulations to everyone promoted this year. These accomplishments are thoroughly deserved. Each one of these people has an important part to play in our future, and I’m excited to see their careers continue to grow at Thrings.”

Thrings has more than 300 years of legal heritage and operates from seven offices in Swindon, Bath, Bristol, London, Lydney, Romsey and Ross-on-Wye.

The firm provides legal advice to businesses, individuals and families across the country, with the latest promotions forming part of its ongoing investment in staff development and long-term growth.
