On Sunday 20th of November, inSwindon are hosting a magical Christmas Lantern Parade. Featuring the spectacular illuminated Snow Birds, the Mayor of Swindon, Miss England Tourism, Jack Frost and the Ice Maiden on Stilts, the display is bound to light up Swindon.

This spectacular event brings the whole community together with local artists being invited to create large scale illuminated lantern sculptures and traditional hand carried lanterns to bring along.

The main procession will begin outside the Town Hall in Regent Circus at 3.50 pm, then shall proceed along Regent Street, Canal Walk and shall finish at Wharf Green at 4:15 pm where there will be an exclusive performance from X-Factor finalist Jay James on the Wharf green main stage for a striking finale!

Families, community groups, schools and colleges are being invited across the borough of Swindon to partake in the Stunning “Christmas Festival of Light Parade”. We invite you to get creative by making your own Lanterns at home or getting involved in the free workshop, which provides all of the materials needed. This takes place on the day of the Festival (Sunday 20th November) from 12:30 am – 3.30 pm. Location TBC.
