Join this remembrance event to honour and remember those who we have sadly lost serving in our Armed Forces.

The Field of Remembrance is situated in the Walled Garden in the grounds of Lydiard House & Park just outside of Royal Wootton Bassett town centre.

The Field of Remembrance pays tribute to all the brave Service men and women who have served, including those who have recently lost their lives in Afghanistan.

    Lydiard Park, Swindon

The official opening of the Royal Wootton Bassett Field of Remembrance takes place on Thursday 10 November at 11am. If you are joining for the official opening service, please arrive before 10.45am. There is also a daily service at 11am while the field is open.

If you would like a tribute planted in this Field of Remembrance in memory of a loved one, you can make your Remembrance tribute online.

Directions by car: Lydiard Park, SN5 3PA, is situated on the western edge of Swindon. From M4 all routes including A420 & A346, exit J16 towards Swindon and follow brown signs to Lydiard Park. From M5/A419 and routes through Swindon town centre, follow signs to West Swindon, then pick up signs to Lydiard Park. On Whitehill Way there are additional signs to the Lydiard House & Church entrance to the park off Hay Lane. There is disabled parking at both entrances.

Directions by bus: From Swindon town centre, Thamesdown Transport No1 and 1A (make sure the bus destination says Middleleaze or Ramleaze) run frequently from Fleming Way.

Directions by train: Swindon station – approximately 4 miles from Lydiard Park. Bus stop on Fleming Way is approximately 5 minutes walk from Swindon Station.
