Most of Britain woke up under a blanket of frost today but temperatures are set to rise back into double figures this week.
Swindon is forecast to see highs of between 12C and 13C this week, with the latter part of the week set to see the highest temperatures.
This spell of warmer weather will make Swindon warmer than Madrid, Athens and indeed most other European countries.
These higher than normal temperatures won’t just be here during the day with the nights forecast to be between 9C and 10C.
The odds on a white Christmas in London this year have doubled from 5/1 to 10/1, which is the longest odds offered in more than five years.
Alex Donohue, of Ladbrokes, said: ‘The mild weekend has seemingly dashed hopes of a white Christmas.’
