Excalibur Communications, leading South West based communications and IT solutions provider, reports its annual turnover from continuing operations is up by 11 per cent to £8.1million for year ending June 2018.  This marks a strong year of growth for the company, with underlying profitability (EBITDA) increasing by 15 per cent, rising from £1.3 million to £1.5 million.

The results for year ending June 2018 show Excalibur is making healthy progress in delivering its plan to scale the business.  This has been achieved through sustained organic growth and the strategic acquisition of IT Services company, Techs4Education, with Sensata following in July 2018.  Significant investments have also been made across sales and customer service.  The company has already started to see a return on these investments with non-mobile revenues increasing by 28% compared to last year.  Excalibur’s increased focus on mobile customer acquisition has resulted in a 54% increase in mobile connections in the second half of the financial year, compared to the equivalent period in 2017.

Peter Boucher, Excalibur CEO, speaking about the results, says; “These are a very encouraging set of results and show our investment in the business is already paying off.  We have had an incredibly busy year completing the MBO, integrating two new companies into the business and strengthening our sales and service capability. We are well placed for continued growth next year and are excited to be at the forefront of bringing ultra fast fibre network services to businesses in our home town of Swindon.”

This year has also been a good year for Excalibur as a whole.  The company achieved Investors In People with Gold accreditation, was recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work For and raised over £30,000 for charity. Company employees also received their first pay-out of the company £1 million bonus scheme. This was in recognition of their contribution to meeting specific business plan milestones set by the management team.
