The chain will open the doors at 11am, marking its forty third opening this year.

Large crowds are expected, with the company planning a range of launch day giveaways. The first three customers queuing on foot, and the first three vehicles in the drive-thru lane, will receive free Chicken Sandwiches for a full year.

The first twenty five customers in each queue will also receive exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise. The first fifty in each queue will be handed a free Chicken Sandwich.

The restaurant is preparing for significant demand. Popeyes locations across the UK have previously seen lengthy opening day queues, with hundreds turning out at some sites.

Once open, customers will be able to choose from dine-in and takeaway options. Popular menu items include the Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders and the Signature Chicken Wraps.

A limited edition festive menu will be available throughout the season. It features the new Cheesy Collection, including the Cheesy Chicken Sandwich, Cheesy Loaded Fries and the Big Cheese Dip.

Popeyes says all its chicken is marinated for twelve hours in a Louisiana seasoning blend before being hand-breaded and battered.

The breakfast menu will run from 8am until 10am daily. A Breakfast meal deal costing £1.99 will be available exclusively through the Popeyes UK app, which includes a Bacon Roll, a Cajun Hash Brown and a drink.

Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK CEO, said: “We’re excited to be bringing Popeyes to Wiltshire for the first time with the launch of our new drive-thru in Swindon next week. With our rapid expansion across the UK, opening at Fleming Way Retail Park feels like the perfect next step. We can’t wait to introduce the community to our famous Louisiana fried chicken and the bold flavours of New Orleans.”

The company says the new Swindon site will create seventy two jobs. It will feature a drive-thru lane, sixty nine indoor seats, self-service kiosks and collection points for orders made through its website or app.
