Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses to a break-in at a property in Haydon Wick.

Unknown offender(s) entered the house on Mellow Ground around 2.30am on Saturday 18 February 2017 and stole a wallet containing cash and cards and a set of car keys.

They then reversed the owner’s car off the drive but collided with a nearby lamp post while doing so; they then ran off, abandoning the vehicle.

PC Jeffrey Smith said:  “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this residential area in the early hours of Saturday.

“Perhaps the collision with the lamp post woke you or did you see anyone running in this area around this time?

“If you can help in anyway please contact me.”

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Jeffrey Smith on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111. Contact can also be made via e-mail: [email protected]
