Residents of Manchester Road have been left frustrated following a continual spate of fly-tipping down nearby alleyways.

These images of the dumped goods were taken today, 16 November around 12.30pm.

Items dumped include beds, mattresses, carpets and even suitcases.

Several alleyways have become unusable and the problem seems to continue to get worse.

One resident said “This road is no more a residential area, it is a commercial area. I am not happy at all.”

It is believed that certain local residents are now using this alleyway as a dumping ground for unwanted household goods.

Swindon Borough Council states that “Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of rubbish. Swindon Borough Council collects fly-tipped materials from public land and is responsible for the enforcement of the fly-tipping regulations.”

To report a fly tipping problem visit Swindon Borough Council’s website.
