On Saturday 11th July, tribute band The Alter Eagles will perform a selection of songs made famous by the Eagles. The show will feature well-known hits including Hotel California, Take It Easy and Life in the Fast Lane.
The following evening, on Sunday 12th July, the Bowl will host an open-air production of The Great Gatsby. The adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel promises an evening of romance, drama and spectacle under the summer sky.
Families planning to attend can also benefit from the venue’s Great British Summer Savings promotion, with discounted family tickets available for selected performances during the season.
The programme continues the following weekend when former XTC drummer Terry Chambers returns to the Town Gardens Bowl for the first time in 50 years.
He will perform with his band EXTC on Saturday 18th July as part of a special anniversary concert celebrating the music of one of Swindon’s most influential bands.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic along with a blanket or low-backed chair to enjoy an evening of outdoor entertainment in the heart of Old Town.
