A new way of buying a car has been launched for motorists in Swindon.

Click To Buy has been launched by manufacturer Hyundai – and Swindon Hyundai dealership Pebley Beach played a part in developing the innovation.

In a world first for the motor industry, consumers can purchase a new Hyundai online and have it delivered straight to their front door through the website – www.hyundai.co.uk/clicktobuy

While motorists have been able to choose and buy a car online for many years, Hyundai’s Click To Buy is the first to incorporate a trade-in and finance options.

Customers are offered a price for their existing car, which can be used to offset the price of their new Hyundai – an i10, i20, i30, Tuscon or Santa Fe.

The purchase is then completed online and customers buying with cash can either select their preferred handover slot at a dealership of their choice, or they can choose their preferred slot for home delivery.

Home delivery is also available to customers buying through finance, although finance paperwork needs to be signed beforehand at a local dealership.

Trade-in cars can either be taken to the dealership on the selected handover date, or will be collected from the customer if home delivery has been chosen.

Dominic Threlfall, managing director of Pebley Beach, said “We were pleased to have been involved in the development of Click To Buy, and we’re delighted with the final result, which gives customers an alternative to visiting the dealership.

“The whole process takes about five minutes. The aim is to make buying a car as easy as online grocery shopping.”
