The nationwide tour visits more than 50 venues across England, Scotland and Wales. Historic estates, castles and gardens are transformed into open-air cinema spaces for the events.

In Swindon, screenings will take place within the grounds of Lydiard Park, offering audiences the chance to watch films outdoors as summer begins.

Organisers say the 2026 programme will be their largest to date, with more than 300 screenings planned across the UK. The schedule features sing-a-long favourites, family films, cult classics and music-themed events.

Films on the tour include Wicked Sing-A-Long, Grease Sing-A-Long, The Greatest Showman Sing-A-Long, Jurassic Park, Star Wars: A New Hope, Back To The Future and Dirty Dancing.

Family titles set to feature include Bing and His Friends at the Cinema, The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. Music-themed screenings such as Mamma Mia! ExtrABBAganza and a Queen Outdoor Cinema Celebration are also planned.

Some locations on the wider tour are real filming sites, adding to the atmosphere for cinema and period drama fans. It has not yet been confirmed whether this applies to the Swindon dates.

Adventure Cinema was launched in 2019 by brothers Ben Lovell and Mark Thompson. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and now describes itself as the UK’s largest outdoor cinema operator.

For local residents, the events promise an evening of film on the grass, with food and drink available on site and a large screen set against one of Swindon’s best known historic settings.

Full details of screening times and the confirmed line-up for Swindon are expected when tickets go on general sale. Swindon 24 will provide further updates once more information is released.
