The open-air production will be staged for one night only on Friday 19 June, bringing a light-hearted take on the popular Lord of the Rings trilogy to the town.
Presented by The Production Garden, the show follows a group of cinema ushers who are forced to recreate the entire fantasy saga live on stage after a Lord of the Rings marathon is thrown into chaos when the DVDs disappear.
Using only the film soundtracks, their imaginations and plenty of improvisation, the cast retells the story through a fast-paced comedy performance filled with audience interaction and larger-than-life characters.
The production has previously toured across the UK, entertaining audiences with its energetic approach to the well-known fantasy adventure.

From hobbits and elves to wizards and orcs, the show offers a humorous spin on the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Councillor John Firmin, Chair of South Swindon Parish Council’s Events Working Party, said:
“Town Gardens Bowl is one of Swindon’s most unique outdoor venues, and we’re delighted to welcome Parody of the Rings for what promises to be a fantastic evening of comedy and entertainment.
“It’s the perfect opportunity for families, friends and theatre lovers to enjoy a memorable night in the beautiful surroundings of Town Gardens.”
Organisers are encouraging people to book in advance to secure a place.
