The clean-up was organised by Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Council on Thursday, with residents and local businesses joining the effort.
Volunteers met outside Waitrose at 9.30am before heading across Wichelstowe to collect litter.
By the end of the event, the group had filled 36 large black bags with rubbish.
Staff from FirstPort, Southby & Co Financial Planning and the Wichelstowe Joint Venture Team were among those who took part.
Waitrose also provided free bottles of water and energy bars for volunteers as they worked in hot weather.
Southby & Co, FirstPort and Wichelstowe LLP each pledged £5 to Prospect Hospice for every bag collected.
The donations helped raise around £600 for the Wroughton-based charity, which provides end-of-life care and support to people and families across Swindon and the surrounding area.
Cllr John Hewer, Chair of Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Council, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who took part in our community litter pick, and to the local businesses who so generously donated.
“It was great to see so many people come together to help keep the local area clean, tidy and welcoming, and to raise funds for the Prospect Hospice.”
Dave Southby, of Southby & Co, said:
“It’s always a great pleasure to support and give back to our local community and vital local charities who do such important work in the parish.”
Emma Leake, from Wichelstowe LLP, praised those who took part despite the hot conditions.
She said:
“It was fantastic to see so many people give up a couple of hours of their time on an incredibly hot day to help keep Wichelstowe clean and tidy. We’re already looking forward to the next one.”
