The Christmas Charity Shopping Night will take place on Thursday 26th November, with shoppers offered exclusive discounts, seasonal treats and entertainment.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Alzheimer’s Research UK, which funds research into dementia.
The event will also coincide with the launch of Dobbies’ Black Friday promotions, giving customers an opportunity to save money on Christmas purchases.
Visitors will be able to browse a range of festive products, including Christmas trees, decorations, lighting, gifts, houseplants and seasonal food.
There will also be live demonstrations, food tasting sessions and entertainment provided by local community groups.
Customers attending the event can use special discount vouchers, offering £5 off purchases of £25 or £10 off when spending £50.
Tickets are available for £1, £2.50 or £5, allowing shoppers to choose how much they contribute to the charity.
Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of prosecco or a soft drink, as well as access to the evening’s entertainment and demonstrations.
Hannah Stephen, Dobbies’ Event Programme Manager, said:
“Dobbies’ Christmas Charity Shopping Night is a highlight in our calendar, bringing customers and local communities together to celebrate the start of the festive season while raising funds for a brilliant cause.
“We have some excellent offers and promotions for customers to look forward to, alongside food, music and entertainment throughout the evening. We’re looking forward to creating a fantastic atmosphere in stores and seeing communities come together to enjoy Christmas while supporting our charity partner.”
The fundraising evening forms part of an ongoing partnership between Dobbies and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The partnership aims to support research into dementia while promoting the potential benefits of gardening and spending time outdoors for brain health.
Paul Glazier, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Alzheimer’s Research UK, said:
“We are very excited to be entering our second festive season working with Dobbies and to be part of its Christmas Charity Shopping Night once again.
“With almost one million people in the UK currently living with dementia, events like this allow us to come together as a community and raise much-needed funds to help support vital research into finding a cure.”
Tickets can be purchased through the Dobbies website at www.dobbies.com or at the Swindon garden centre on the night.
All money raised through ticket sales and donations will go directly to Alzheimer’s Research UK.
