RWB Auctions, based in Royal Wootton Bassett, has been named Best New Business at the Best SME Awards.

The company was founded by Jon White and has quickly made its mark in what is widely regarded as a competitive and long-established industry.

Since opening, the firm has transformed a former supermarket into a modern saleroom. The site now includes a gallery space and an on-site café bistro.

Speaking after the ceremony, Jon said: “I am incredibly proud of RWB Auctions for winning Best New Business at the Best SME Awards.

“Finding our footing in a competitive industry has been a real challenge, but in the two years since our first sale, we have seen remarkable success.

“This award is a testament to the hard work that has brought us to this point and to the fantastic, dedicated team that has made it possible.”

Members of the team travelled to Daventry for the awards evening, where businesses from across the UK gathered to celebrate success and innovation.

Auction Administrator Grace Leo said:

“The team had an amazing night, celebrating great businesses from across the UK.

“We did not expect to win Best New Business, but we are absolutely thrilled to bring home the trophy. It was also fantastic to see other Wiltshire businesses picking up prestigious prizes.”

Judges commended the business for its early impact in a traditional sector. They highlighted its modern and customer-focused approach, alongside strong commercial awareness.

They also noted the company’s understanding of costs and market positioning, as well as its willingness to make difficult decisions early on to support growth.

The firm has also built up a large number of five-star Google reviews in a short period of time, which judges said reflected its commitment to customer service.

The award is seen as further evidence of a strong and growing business community across Wiltshire and Swindon.

“It’s been a lot of hard work to get to this point, so to see it recognised like this is a great moment for the team,” Jon added. “We’re looking forward to building on it.”
