Local residents from Swindon and the surrounding areas are invited to attend Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting.

The meeting, taking place from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday 29 September, will give attendees the opportunity to hear more about the Trust’s response to the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This will include an overview of the number of patients treated for the virus, learning taken from the first wave that will help prepare for any further waves and an understanding of the Trust’s reset and recovery plan which looks to restart all services across the organisation and re-book all patients waiting for treatment.

The Annual Members’ Meeting will also address the Trust’s performance against national targets, successes from the past year and plans for the future, including an update on the site expansion plans and improvement work underway for urgent and emergency care services.

Due to important safety measures around social distancing and to reduce footfall at the hospital site, this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting will be taking place digitally, through Microsoft Teams Live. Attendees should be aware that they do not need to have an MS Teams account to join the meeting.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to put their questions to members of the Trust Board, which will be answered during the meeting. Questions should be submitted beforehand but there will be opportunity to ask questions live during the event.

Please contact the Membership Office to confirm your attendance by Wednesday, 16 September 2020.

You should also contact the office to send questions in advance or to request a copy of the annual report and accounts prior to the meeting.

Once you have registered your interest, you will be sent details of how to attend.
