New figures from Swindon Borough Council show that 95.5 per cent of children have been offered a place at their first-choice primary school.
Overall, 99.3% have secured a place at one of their top three preferred schools.
The allocations follow the application deadline on 15 January 2026. Parents who applied online received confirmation of their offers by email on Wednesday 16 April.
Kashif Nawaz, Director of Education at Swindon Borough Council, said:
“I’m really pleased that so many children have been offered a place at one of their preferred primary schools for this September.
“Our Admissions team works incredibly hard to make sure families across Swindon have access to the places they need and today’s results reflect that effort.
“I’d like to thank the team for their commitment and I wish all our new Reception pupils and their families the very best as they begin an exciting new chapter.”
Parents and carers with questions about their allocated place are being advised to contact the council’s admissions team by email or speak directly to their child’s new school.
The latest figures are expected to reassure families across the town as they prepare for the move into primary education later this year.
