Homes found for more than 200 hens due to be slaughtered

Hundreds of Wiltshire hens that were destine for the slaughterhouse have been saved, the British Hen Welfare Trust has confirmed.

Luckily, all of the hens have now be reserved for re-homing.

A spokesperson for British Hen Welfare Trust said: “Thank you to everyone who clucked and shared our urgent appeal, we are delighted to announce that all our lovely Wiltshire girls have now been re-homed… thank you, thank you, thank you!”
