The Swindon site received the top BMW accolade at the BMW Group UK and Ireland Retailer of the Year Awards 2025, held during the BMW Group Brand and Business Summit in Munich.
In a first for the industry, the group also claimed MINI UK Retailer of the Year through its Bristol dealership, marking the first time both titles have been won by the same group in a single year.
The awards recognise the highest-performing retailers across the BMW and MINI networks in the UK and Ireland. Judging is based on performance in areas including customer experience, sales, marketing activity and operational standards.
Alongside the overall title, the Swindon dealership also secured BMW Sales Retailer of the Year.
The Bristol site was awarded GKL Retailer of the Year, recognising performance in BMW’s luxury model segment, while the group was also named MINI Marketing Retailer of the Year.
Rebecca Maloney, CEO of Dick Lovett, said:
“To be recognised as the overall BMW and MINI Retailer of the Year, the highest honour a retailer can receive, and to be the first group to achieve both in the same year, is a tremendous source of pride for us.
“Not because of the trophies themselves, but because of what they represent. They reflect the care, commitment and professionalism our teams show every single day.
Being recognised by BMW Group in our 60th year, and as their longest-serving UK partner, makes this moment especially meaningful.”
Russ Trotman, managing director of the dealership group, said the awards reflected the team’s commitment to customers.
“What matters most to us is how our customers feel when they interact with our teams.
This recognition is a direct result of our teams consistently putting customers first, supporting one another and holding themselves to high standards. We are incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved together.”
David George, chief executive officer of BMW Group UK & Ireland, said:
“In what continues to be a challenging and fast-moving market, our retailers have delivered strong performance while keeping customers at the centre of everything they do.
The winners recognised represent the highest standards across our network and their resilience, leadership and focus on customers set the benchmark for our brands.”
David Beattie, director of MINI UK and Ireland, added:
“The transition to The New Retail has marked an important step for MINI, designed to deliver a more consistent and transparent experience for customers.
The winners demonstrate the expertise and agility that continue to strengthen the MINI brand.”
The awards come as the family-run business marks 60 years in operation.
Founded in the South West, the company represents several luxury automotive brands across England and Wales and remains BMW’s longest-serving retail partner in the UK.
The latest recognition places the Swindon dealership at the top of the national BMW network, underlining its performance over the past year.
