Freedog Swindon – A Great Attraction For The Family

Woman jumping at Freedog SwindonAlthough i know how important and beneficial exercise is, on these long wintry days – it’s hard to summon up the energy to get motivated.

However, the perfect opportunity for getting fit in the warm with the whole family in a fun way is on our doorsteps in the form of Freedog Urban Activity Centre.

Freedog, the trampoline park is based in Kembrey Park, Swindon and gives you the chance to forget your worries and have a bounce.

When i went along with my daughter, who is 5 years old, i really wasn’t sure what to expect as i never really got into gymnastics at school.

Would I look like i fool?
Would i fall over?
Would my little one enjoy it?

The answer to all of those questions is yes but who cares that you look silly when it’s that much fun to go up and down.

My Experience at Freedog

I felt free, entertained and happy and my daughter loved jumping into the pits packed with pink foam blocks. She was in heaven and i couldn’t stop laughing whilst watching her.

Before it all began, we had to watch a safety video about the potential dangers of being on a trampoline.

It was to the point and mentioned the unlikely event of death but was enough to upset my child. My only comment here would be that maybe they could water it down a bit for the little people!

Having said that, the staff members did a great job of distracting her from her initial upset and Forest (one of the team) had her laughing with his demonstrations of what he could do on a trampoline within seconds.

The great thing about this place is that you can also go there for parties, toddler bounce sessions and there are even provisions for people with special educational needs and disabilities.

It’s very impressive that they can cater for lots of different people and it makes it so much more accessible.

There is also a lovely little area for having a bite to eat and a drink, which allowed some down time in-between our physical activity.

What does Freedog offer?

Although the main attraction at Freedog is the trampoline park, they have a multitude of alternative options if trampolining isn’t your thing.

You can enjoy rock climbing and free running at a budget-friendly price!

It’s not the cheapest entertainment you will find in the town but I personally think it’s well worth the £10 for an hour of trampolining.

Quite frankly, Swindon needs this place. It’s a forever expanding town that needs to start getting more city type entertainment and Freedog is the perfect addition.
