The recent event was held in aid of Change Lives, No to Knives, with organisers describing the fundraiser as a “fantastic success”.
Money raised through the barbecue will go towards the charity’s work tackling knife crime, raising awareness and supporting people in the community.
Organisers thanked those who attended, donated and helped to make the fundraising event possible.
They said:
“A huge thank you goes to everyone who came along, donated, supported us and helped make the day such a success.
“Every penny raised will help us continue our work tackling knife crime, supporting our community and helping to make a difference.”
Further fundraising is already planned, with a charity skydive due to take place on Saturday 5 September.
The challenge will raise more money for Change Lives, No to Knives, while also increasing awareness of its work.
Organisers added:
“It’s amazing to see how much support our charity continues to receive, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who stands behind what we do.
“This is all about bringing people together, raising awareness and ultimately helping to save lives.”
