The free-to-use Coate Water Splash Park will open on Friday 29 May at 11am, just in time for the half-term break and the continuing hot weather.
Councillor Jake Chandler, Deputy Leader of Swindon Borough Council and Cabinet Member for Strategy, Resilience and Green Infrastructure, said residents had been keen to see the attraction reopen ahead of the Bank Holiday heatwave.
Posting an update on social media, Jake said: “As the Cabinet Member for our Country Parks, I share the view of residents wanting this open for the hot weather over the Bank Holiday.

“It has had repairs over the Winter and now all the necessary tests have been completed to get it open within this half-term.”
The splash park underwent repair and maintenance work during the winter months before final safety checks were completed this week.
Jake also thanked council officers and the ranger team for helping bring forward the opening.
He added: “I want to thank Swindon Borough Council officers and the Rangers Team at Coate Water for their work getting this opened ahead of previously scheduled. I’m sure if this weather continues, it will be getting lots of use over the coming months.”
Swindon Borough Council confirmed the splash park will be open daily from 11am until 6pm through to the end of September.
Visitors can also make use of the adjacent grass areas and additional seating around the attraction.
The nearby pitch-and-putt and 18-hole crazy golf course at Coate Water are also now open from 11am to 6pm, Thursday to Tuesday each week.
