Swindon Town will head into a decisive final-day fixture this Saturday with a place in the League Two play-offs still within reach. However, manager Ian Holloway will not be on the touchline after being handed a two-match ban.

The sanction follows his red card during the recent fixture against Colchester United earlier this month.

The The Football Association confirmed Holloway admitted misconduct charges in relation to his language towards match officials and his behaviour after being dismissed. He has also been fined £1,000.

Swindon now prepare to face Chesterfield in what is effectively a straight contest for a top-seven finish in League Two.

Town sit just outside the play-off places after a three-match winless run, while Chesterfield are one point ahead heading into the final round of fixtures.

Victory would secure Swindon’s place in the play-offs. Any other result would end their promotion hopes.

Off the pitch, the club has announced plans for a coordinated, stadium-wide display at the County Ground.

Flags, tifos and balloons will be distributed across the Arkells Stand, Don Rogers Stand and Town End in a bid to generate a strong atmosphere.

Town End tickets have also been made available online again to supporters aged over 18, having previously been restricted this season due to safety concerns.

With their manager absent from the dugout and their season on the line, Swindon face one of their most significant matches in recent years.
