Entrepreneur Louise Muir-Sage is bringing her Coffee & Crystals evenings to Wanborough, on the edge of Swindon, following growing demand.
Louise, founder of Something Kind of Woo in Royal Wootton Bassett, first launched the concept in 2024 alongside The Little Gem café. The events combine artisan coffee with an introduction to crystals and have since attracted a loyal following.
After two years of increasing interest, the experience will now run monthly at The Barn at Great Moorleaze Farm in Wanborough.
Louise said the decision to expand was shaped by the response to earlier events.
“Back in 2024, when the first Coffee & Crystals event happened in Royal Wootton Bassett, I was blown away by the uptake,” she said. “It seemed people really wanted low-cost events and to feel part of a community.”
Each session focuses on a specific crystal, exploring its origins, history and properties. Attendees are also given practical advice on caring for and using crystals at home.
Guests receive a themed tumbled stone and a drink as part of the evening, which Louise describes as “a relaxed night out with friends” or the beginning of a new interest.
“A good event is where people feel part of a community,” she said. “For some it’s the start of a new passion and for others it’s simply a chance to unwind. Both are fantastic.”
Louise has been working with the team at The Barn since 2025, alongside Out of the Box Catering, to prepare the new venue.
Claire Shail, owner of The Barn, said:
“I’ve known Louise for a while now, and her passion, knowledge and energy are completely infectious.
“What she’s built, especially with Coffee & Crystals, is something really special. We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of its growth in a new venue. Our beautiful surroundings feel like the perfect fit.”
The expansion also supports Louise’s high street shop in Royal Wootton Bassett, which opened in July 2025. The premises host a range of spiritual activities, including meditation sessions and workshops.
Reflecting on the growth of the event, Louise said it had surpassed her early expectations. “It was a small dream,” she said. “I’ve seen it build communities and new friendships. This expansion marks something really special.”
Coffee & Crystals is now set to introduce more people across Swindon to the increasingly popular world of crystals.
