Marina Strinkovsky, Imtiyaz Shaikh and Paul Dixon, who are standing in Swindon’s Queen’s Park ward, have sent an open letter to Danny Kruger after reports about social media posts linked to a Reform UK candidate.

The letter, seen by Swindon 24, raises concerns about posts attributed to Terrence David Reynolds.

According to the Labour candidates, the posts have been reported as containing anti-Islamic remarks and comments about women in public life.

They say the content has caused “disgust” among some residents.

In the letter, they argue that such language risks damaging Swindon’s reputation as a diverse and welcoming town.

They add that those standing for election have a duty to represent all residents with respect. The candidates also question Reform UK’s response to the matter so far, claiming the party has not publicly addressed the issue.

Addressing Mr Kruger directly, they ask whether he agrees with the reported comments and whether he will condemn them.

They also question whether the views expressed reflect the values of Reform UK and what action he believes should be taken when candidates share such material. The letter describes the issue as “not a matter of party politics, but of standards in public life” and calls for an urgent response.

At the time of publication, Mr Kruger had not responded to a request for comment.
