Nai is taking part in The Longevity Games at Swindon Harriers next Sunday 13th September, supporting its message that nobody should feel excluded from exercise.

The event brings together people with a wide range of experience, from complete beginners to experienced athletes and older participants looking to maintain their strength, fitness and independence.

Nai said her experience on Gladiators strengthened her belief that age, background, body or ability should not be barriers to taking part in sport.

She said:

“My Gladiators journey reinforced something I’ll always champion: sport is for everyone. Every age. Every body. Every ability. Every background.

“I’m passionate about breaking down the barriers that make people feel sport isn’t ‘for them’, and showing what becomes possible when those barriers come down.

“That’s why I’m so excited to be taking part in the Longevity Games in Swindon next week.

“No limits. No labels. No expectation. Just the opportunity to discover what you’re capable of and push yourself that little bit outside your comfort zone.”

Nai also thanked Longevity Games founder Tim Howe for inviting her to take part. She said:

“I’m really excited to be part of such a fantastic initiative that has such a positive impact on people’s lives. I can’t wait to get going.”

Organisers say The Longevity Games is not simply about finding the fastest or strongest competitor.

Instead, participants are encouraged to challenge themselves at their own level, while the event aims to change perceptions around fitness and ageing.

Families are being encouraged to attend, watch the events and meet Nai, as well as hear from people who have pushed themselves beyond what they previously thought they could achieve.

Founder Tim Howe said:

“The Longevity Games isn’t about finding out who is the fastest or strongest. It’s about showing people what they are capable of.

“We want families to come along and see that fitness isn’t just for athletes or people who already go to the gym. It is for everybody.

“Having Nia there, someone who understands the importance of breaking down barriers in sport, is incredibly powerful.

“We want people watching from the sidelines to think, ‘Maybe I could do that too.’”

The event brings together members of Swindon’s fitness community and people from across the town, with organisers hoping to encourage visitors to think differently about exercise, ageing and their long-term health.

The Longevity Games is taking place at Swindon Harriers on Sunday 13th September and anyone is welcome to attend to watch.
