Woman motorist dies after collision on Thamesdown Drive, Swindon

Following a road traffic collision on Thamesdown Drive on Wednesday 2 August 2017 involving two cars, the woman driver of one of the vehicles has now died.

The collision between a VW Polo and a Toyota Avensis took place on Thamesdown Drive at the junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive at approximately 11.45am.

Although formal of identification has yet to take place, Wiltshire Police confirmed the name of the deceased is:  Valerie Affleck (73) of Wyld Court, Blunsdon.

She passed away on Wednesday 23 August 2017.

Valerie was driving the VW Polo and the local driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to this road traffic collision, anyone who heard or saw what happened or has any information which can help with our enquiries is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
