Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on the M4 near Swindon yesterday morning.
Wiltshire Police received a call shortly before 8am on 7/2/18 reporting a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the M4 westbound carriageway between junction 14 and 15.
The vehicle, a silver Citroen C5, had crashed into the hard shoulder and it appears the driver suffered a medical episode.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the driver, a 69-year-old man from the London area, sadly died. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
Officers are trying to clarify the exact circumstances so would like to hear from anyone who saw the car before the collision, or anyone who witnessed the collision.
