Turn up the heat this July at Swindon’s Chilli Fiesta

It’s going to be a scorcher as Swindon Chilli Fiesta returns for the 5th year in a row, guaranteeing even more chilli madness!

inSwindon BID Company will once again host the FREE event with Chilli Fest UK at Wharf Green, from 10:30am – 5:30pm on Saturday July 28th.

Some of the UK’s best chilli companies will be showcasing their chilli jams, dips, chutney, chocolate and beverages all aiming to tantalise those taste buds. 2017’s event saw over 2000 visitors attending the event with 14 brave contestants taking part in the Chilli Eating Competition, hosted by professional event compere, Jack Baverstock with the ultimate winner being Manny Sharma.

For those who don’t like it hot, look no further – a selection of milder creations will be on offer to also try and buy.

For the daredevils out there, extreme sauces, chilli cocktails, beers and cider are also on the menu and visitors can expect a day of chilli madness with LIVE entertainment from local acts for all the family to enjoy.

Alexander, Chilli Fest UK Organiser said, “2018’s Chilli Fiesta will see even more tongue tingling food and drink on offer. We’re particularly looking forward to the huge variety of spicy delights from our new stalls. Of course, this can all be very thirsty work, so there will also be exclusive chilli drinks on offer including chilli cider, vodka and even prosecco.”

Di Powell, inSwindon Chief Executive said “We are really looking forward to welcoming the Chilli Fiesta to the town centre for a fifth year. The festival is a real celebration of food, drink and music with a sizzling atmosphere. We’ll be showcasing a variety of talented local singers & musicians as well as watching contestants brave it out at the Clash of the Titans Chilli Eating Contest.  There is something for everyone and we hope visitors get to experience the spicier side of life once again!”

Enter the Clash of the Titans Chilli Eating Contest – starts at 3pm!

Avid chilli fans are invited to take part in the ultimate Clash of the Titans Chilli Eating Contest – a live competition, which allows contestants to take on some of the hottest chillies in the world.  If you would like to enter the competition, please make yourself known to our Chilli Fiesta host on the day! Places are limited.
