The town centre will be buzzing with free entertainment and activities for all the family to enjoy!

Pirate Fest Swindon

Wharf Green will be transformed into Pirate Ship Zone, where you will be entertained by the greatest villain of all time, the famous Captain Hook!

Also planned is local live music and dance, children’s entertainment, fancy dress competition and prizes. Captain Hook activities will include apple bobbing, Pirate limbo, funfair rides, Pirate crafts, free face painting and lots more!

The Brunel Shopping Centre will have a whole host of skullduggery activities for you. From competitions, face painting (Saturday and Sunday11am -3pm), pirate craft sessions to meeting Captain Jack! Lots of Jolly Roger fun for your little pirates.

Head to the Parade Shopping centre and enter the Pieces of Eight Interactive Competition and you could WIN tickets to see the NEW Pirates of the Caribbean film at Regent Circus.

Di Powell BID inSwindon BID Chief Executive said:

“We hope you can join us for the town centre’s Pirates Fest! There will be so much going on for all the family to enjoy. Visitors will be able to take advantage of the pirate themed offers and WIN a whole host of prizes. Plus, don’t miss the opportunity to interact with Peter Pan, Smee, Tinkerbell & the Crocodile. On Saturday, the brilliant Kings Pond Shanty Men will also be performing across the a whole town centre”.

Jane Stewart,  Deputy Centre Manager of The Brunel said: “This is going to be a lot of fun!  We’ve had Captain Jack here before and because he’s so authentic, he’s really popular. You certainly do a double take when you spot him! We want to encourage those brave enough to come into town dressed as Pirates and to join in the fun.  You never know, you might just win a prize!  For those not quite so brave our on-line desert island competition may be of interest.”

The Pirates event, which is taking place during the June school half-term, is the result of partnership working between The Brunel Centre, inSwindon BID Company, The Parade and Regent Circus.
