A police investigation has been launched following a violent attack on a teenager whilst walking his girlfriend home with friends.
Around 1.30am on Saturday 28 July a teenager and his friends were attacked by ‘masked thugs’ after being at the Blunsdon Arms pub in North Swindon.
The victim sustained several broken bones after being repeatedly hit to the head with a bicycle saddle.
The attack happened near Piernik Close, Haydon End and witnesses to the event have confirmed to police that the attack was unprovoked.
A police investigation has been launched and offierces are hoping to gather CCTV footage of the ‘gang’.
Residents in North Swindon are increasingly worried about crime in their area and are taking to Facebook to display their anger with the lack of action being taken.
