Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting local people to find out more about its revamped private patient facility.

Formally known as the Shalbourne Suite, Shalbourne Private Health Care – located at the heart of Wiltshire’s largest NHS hospital – is Swindon’s newest healthcare option.

With shorter waiting times, state-of-the-art facilities and world-class medical professionals, Shalbourne Private Health Care is set to build on the solid reputation established by its predecessor.

Local people are invited to celebrate the launch and find out more about the premium services on offer at the official open event on Monday 24 July, 4pm – 7pm, Shalbourne Private Health Care, the Great Western Hospital.

Ricardo Windas, Director of Private Patients, said: “While the Trust already offers patients an incredibly reliable service, we’re proud that we can now also offer an attractive private healthcare option, alongside our NHS services.

“We are in the unique position of being able to offer high quality healthcare in a premium environment, alongside the safety of the specialist services associated with the NHS.  This includes access to an on-site intensive care unit, CT scanner, and cardiology suite, facilities which are often not immediately accessible with other private healthcare options.

“We’re also pleased to be supporting the local community, with money being invested back into NHS services at the Great Western Hospital, benefiting the whole population of Swindon and the surrounding areas.”

The 20 bed Shalbourne Private Health Care, located within the Great Western Hospital, offers patients a range of services, including many not currently available on the NHS.

Patients will benefit from the high quality experience they would expect from a private hospital, with private rooms and en suite facilities, an exceptional level of comfort and service and a high staff to patient ratio. Many consultants also accept self-referrals, saving a visit to a GP.

Anyone is welcome to drop-in to the open event, which runs from 4pm – 7pmon Monday 24 July, within Shalbourne Private Health Care, Great Western Hospital.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet consultants, find out about the treatments available and ask questions over tea and cake.

Stay up-to-date with the latest from Shalbourne Private Health Care by liking the new Facebook page or by visiting www.theshalbourne.co.uk.
