Swindon man charged with eight offences

A Swindon man has been charged with eight offences following a number of incidents which took place during the evening of Friday 12 May 2017.

Connor Gallagher from Stratton, Swindon has been charged with three counts of GBH, three counts of robbery and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in public. The 22-year-old remains in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 15 May 2017).

This relates to four separate incidents which took place in the Nisa Store, Penhill, on Canal Walk and around Cambria Bridge Place and Park during Friday evening.

The officer leading the investigation, Det Sgt Mark Lewis would like anyone with information, relating to these events, to contact Swindon CID on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
