Wiltshire Police will feature in the next series of 999: What’s Your Emergency?, which is due to start Monday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Series 4 of 999: What’s Your Emergency? meets the police, paramedics and fire service working in Wiltshire, a once traditional county that now encounters many of the biggest challenges that modern Britain faces.

Episode 1 examines the rise in racially-aggravated hate crimes in Wiltshire, including race hate through social media, and a nine-year-old girl facing racist language for the first time.

Over the last decade, incidents of violence perpetrated by young men have risen by 22%.

Episode 2 meets the police officers and paramedics in Wiltshire dealing with the consequences.
