A multi-agency community roadshow will be hosted by some of our PCSOs over the weekend (Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March) across a number of locations in Swindon.

The event will be a great opportunity for local residents to raise any community concerns with local officers and other partner agencies, including; Victim Support, Trading Standards, The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, Swindon Borough Council representative and the Police Cadets.

The roadshows will take place at the following locations:

  • Saturday 24 March at Sussex Place car park, Walcot from 9am to 12pm
  • Saturday 24 March at Cavendish Square, Park South from 1pm to 4pm
  • Sunday 25 March at Morrison’s Supermarket, Dorcan Way, Eldene from 9.30am to 4pm.

PCSO Phil Day, who will host the weekend roadshows, said: “It will be great to have loads of people come down and speak to us and our partners about concerns and matters that mean the most to them.

“On Sunday we will be joined by the Wheels Workshop, which is a local project that supports young adults with a passion for mechanics and motorbikes. It would be great to see some young people attend to find out more about how they can get involved.

“A broad range of expert prevention advice will also be available that covers a number of different areas of crime”.

Alison Newnham, Case Worker at Victim Support, said: “We are looking forward to working alongside other agencies in order to provide free, confidential and practical support to all residents affected by crime.

“We’re an independent charity, so you can talk to us whether or not you reported the crime to the police. It doesn’t matter when the crime took place – you can get our support at any time and for however long you need us”.
