A motorcyclist has sadly died following a collision on the A419 last night.
At approximately 6.10pm on 5 November, a Kia Sorento was travelling northbound on the A419.
A Yamaha motorcycle was also being ridden in the same direction when it collided with the Kia just north of the A361 junction.
The motorcyclist – a man aged in his 50s from Swindon – sadly died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. They are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
The driver of the Kia is not believed to have been injured.
The road was closed until 10.30pm while collision investigators attended the scene to conduct a full investigation.
