Man sentenced after sexual assault in Swindon

A 35-year-old man from Wroughton has been sentenced after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in Swindon.

On Tuesday 21 November 2017 at around 11am,  Kevin Peter Wolton, from Hay Lane, Wroughton, Wolton kissed and sexually touched the woman on a street in the Broadgreen area of town.

At Swindon Crown Court on Wednesday 11 April, Wolton was given a 26-weeks suspended prison sentence (suspended for 24 months); he is also required to have treatment for alcohol dependency, take part in a rehabilitation programme, pay a victim surcharge of £115, pay compensation of £100 and costs of £600;  he has also been put on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.
