A Swindon veterinary nurse has won a nationwide competition run by Petplan to join their social media panel of pet experts.

Jenny Freeth - Purton Vets

Jenny Freeth of Purton Vets near Swindon, was the lucky winner. Her prize includes spending a day filming with Petplan’s social media and production team, where she will star in a series of videos sharing her pet care tips for pet owners due to go out on Petplan’s social media to their over 100,000 fans.

As part of her prize she will also receive £250 worth of vouchers for her practice, Purton Vets. Jenny has been a member of the team since December 2012, having previously spent time in New Zealand and Australia on an equine stud farm and a dairy farm.

To enter the competition, vet nurses were required to submit a 60 second video clip explaining why they deserve to win.

Isabella von Mesterhazy, head of marketing at Petplan, commented:

“Jenny is warm, friendly and showed a real passion for her job which really came across in her entry. She also demonstrated great expertise about pet health and care, with her own top tips for pet owners – we can’t wait to share these with our online community of pet lovers!”
