GreenSquare has been granted planning permission to progress with the development of 52 new homes on the outskirts of Swindon.
The site at Lady Lane in the village of Blunsdon was purchased by GreenSquare in 2016 with outline planning consent.
Swindon Borough Council has now granted full detailed planning permission for GreenSquare to build 10 two-bedroom bungalows for sale, 27 three and four-bedroom houses for sale, and 15 houses for shared ownership.
The proposed development, which has been named Blunsdon Meadows, will also include 108 parking spaces and will be built by GreenSquare’s in-house development arm GreenSquare Homes.
John Owen, GreenSquare’s Land Manager, said: “With an increasing shortage of new homes being built in the county, and across the UK, we are pleased to have received planning permission to progress with our development plans to enable a greater number of local people to have a home in Blunsdon, and to help address the housing need in the area.
“We are proud to be delivering 52 carefully designed new homes, which will cater for a range of lifestyles – from first time buyers looking to get on the housing ladder through shared ownership, to growing families and people looking to downsize.
We believe this development will be a great addition to the local area and we are looking forward to starting on site in the autumn.”
Work is set to begin at Blunsdon Meadows in September. To find out more about homes that GreenSquare is building, please visit www.greensquaregroup.com.
