Volunteers from the Swindon Branch of the Wiltshire Family History Society are offering free help sessions on Wednesday (16 August) in Central Library for individuals to find out more about their family history.
A team of experienced researchers from the Wiltshire Family History Society will be on hand to advise people and help them to trace the story of their ancestors.
These members have decades of experience in researching family history, and while their expertise lies in research in Wiltshire, the basic principles can be applied to other areas.
These sessions have been organised in partnership with the Local Studies team at Central Library and are free to attend.
Anyone is welcome to come along, from beginners who are completely new to genealogy to those with many years’ experience who may appreciate a fresh perspective. If you have any previous research, such as certificates or census returns, bring them along for discussion.
There is no need to book to attend this session; simply head along to the Local Studies on Floor 2 of Swindon Central Library from 2 – 4pm on Wednesday (16 August) for a look at your family history.
