Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery service, is celebrating its second birthday in Swindon. New data from Deliveroo reveals Saturday at 8:13pm is the most popular time for Swindon locals to order Deliveroo. Further data has shown locals love Mexican food the most, followed by Portuguese and American.

Most popular dishes:

  • Chargrilled Chicken Marinated Fajita Style from El Mexicana

  • Piri Piri Chicken from Roosters Grill Rack

  • Classic burger from GBK

  • Fish & Chips from The Trident Fish Bar

  • Bacon Double Cheese XL Meal from Burger King

Since its launch two years ago, more than 70 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 60 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver your food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered to your door within 30 minutes.

Deliveroo supports local businesses Swindon, with 60% percent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, creating new revenue streams for homegrown culinary talent. In 2017, a report by Capital Economics found that Deliveroo will create a further 7,200 jobs in the restaurant sector, and contribute as much as £1.5bn to the UK economy by 2019.

Dan Warne, Managing Director of Deliveroo in UK and Ireland said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Swindon over the past two years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”

The Restaurant Manager at Rooster’s Grill Shack said: “Working with Deliveroo has been great, they really take the pressure off deliveries at our end and leave us to do what is important, cook the food! Since we joined Deliveroo we have seen our output go up considerably as we have been able to reach consumers we could not reach before.”

Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food-delivery experience. Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance, or receive food as soon as possible between 11:30am and 11pm, and from 11:30am on the weekends, where at the click of a button, their order will be delivered straight to their door in under 30 minutes. In November 2017, Deliveroo also launched it’s £7.99 a month subscription service, Deliveroo Plus, enabling Swindon food lovers to get unlimited free delivery whilst providing them with new discounts every month.
