Visiting a wax museum can be a fun, slightly surreal and fascinating experience and the closest that most people will get to having their photo taken with their favourite celebrity.

There are many terrific wax museums all around the world which are all worth visiting – here are a few of the best.

Hollywood Wax Museum, LA

Hollywood is known for being home to celebrities but you can make sure that you spot one or two by checking out the excellent Hollywood Wax Museum in the heart of the iconic entertainment district.

Here you will find all the legendary names to grace the big screen over the years and much more.

Movieland Wax Museum, Niagara Falls

Located in Canada, the Movieland Wax Museum is filled with stars from Hollywood with many statues put in situ with a film set behind them for a more real and immerse feel.

Additionally, the museum itself is set up to look like a retro cinema which all adds to the fun.

Madame Tussauds, London

The original Madame Tussauds in London is an iconic museum famous all around the world for its remarkable wax statues and history.

Marie Tussaud was responsible for starting wax museums when she started touring Europe with her statues at the end of the 18th century and this museum is home to some of the most famous wax statues of all time.

You can also find Madame Tussauds deals online which will help to make it more affordable.

Museo de Cera, Madrid

Madrid is home to many fantastic museums, including Museo de Cera (Museum of Wax).

This is a good way to learn about Spanish culture and history because it features notable people from Spain, including many of their most famous footballers.

It is not just Spanish icons that you will find, though, as there are also many celebrities on show along with horror-related attractions like the Train of Terror.

The Wax Museum, Gold Coast

If you are looking to escape the Australian sun along the Gold Coast, then checking out The Wax Museum is a great idea.

There is plenty of fun to be had here with all kinds of different statues, exhibitions showing Australia’s history, expert dioramas and much more to discover.

These are the best wax museums in the world and you are sure to be amazed at some of the statues on show and just how life-like they look.

Wax museums are quite unlike any other type of museum so they are always a fun, unique and slightly strange experience and a chance to see your favourite celebrities up close and personal.
