Swindon Borough Council will be closing Hodson Road (B4005) from 9am on Tuesday 29 August 2017 and reopening at 6pm Thursday 31 August 2017.

During the closure the council will be trying to complete patching works through the central area of the road and white lining once the patching work has been completed.

The gullies along this stretch of highway will also be cleared.

New kerbs will be laid at the Hodson Road, Brimble Hill junction under 2 way lights by the footway construction team, who are currently working on Brimble Hill improvements.

During the period the Gas board will also start work to insert a new gas main through the existing pipework from the junction of Hodson Lane and Hodson Road.

They will use the 3 day closure to complete as much of their work as possible before the road is reopened but reverting to 2 way lights.

The road closure will be clearly marked and diversion signs will be in place for the duration of the work. The recommended routes can be found on Swindon Borough Council’s website here – https://www.swindon.gov.uk/hodsonroad
