Swindon-based children’s hospice at home charity Jessie May will be exhibiting at the South West Expo Swindon next week, the South West’s largest business expo.

The charity, which also has an office in Bristol, is set to share its latest news and updates on its nurses’ work in the homes of terminally ill children across Wiltshire at the expo.

The event, on Thursday 5th July at The Steam Museum, Swindon, offers a fantastic opportunity for the charity to network with local businesses who have supported Jessie May in the past, and meet companies who are looking to support a local cause caring for life limited children across the county.

The Jessie May team is inviting local businesses to visit them at stand 34 and learn more about the vital work Jessie May nurses are doing in the area.

Swindon and Wiltshire Fundraising Officer Debbie Clark said: “We’re really looking forward to exhibiting for the first time at the South West Expo, which takes place a short walk away from our own Swindon office.

“Our charity relies heavily on voluntary funding to ensure we can continue caring for children and their families across the area, through respite visits, emotional support, end of life care and bereavement support.

“We really value corporate support and fundraising, and are grateful for all the businesses who have in the past, and are currently, supporting Jessie May. There are a plethora of ways businesses can help us – such as by selecting Jessie May as their Charity of Year, and encouraging staff volunteering.

“By supporting Jessie May, businesses are frequently invited to other networking events with Jessie May partners, as well as a variety of corporate volunteering opportunities.

“We invite visitors to the expo to come and say hello to the Jessie May team and learn about what unique and vital work our nurses do locally. We look forward to meeting you all there!”

The free to attend South West Expo Swindon returns for its sixth year next week, held at The Steam Museum, from 9.30am to 3pm. Jessie May can be found at stand 34.

The business event acts as a popular hub for business advice, seminars, industry-leading workshops and networking, with over 1,300 companies expected to attend.

Alec Jones-Hall, Director of the South West Business Expo, said: “We are delighted to be bringing this year’s expo back to Swindon and do not doubt that this year will again deliver another highly successful business show for the region.

“Our passion is supporting regional business growth, and this show is designed around attendee meeting new clients, suppliers, prospects – or just catching up with old business associates.”

The South West Expo Swindon takes place on Thursday 5th July at The Steam Museum Swindon. For more information and to register your attendance visit:www.greatbritishexpos.co.uk/south-west-expo-swindon.

Jessie May is currently caring for terminally ill children within their own homes across Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol Bath, North Somerset and North East Somerset.
