Redrow Homes has created a community fund to donate to the most deserving causes in Swindon, home to its hugely popular Abbey Farm development.

The house builder is inviting local people or organisations to write to them, explaining why they need the funding and how it would be used. The team at Redrow South West will then make a decision on which causes will benefit from the financial boost.

Previously, funding in other Redrow regions has contributed towards a local primary school receiving £300 for new benches and a Winterbourne Parish Council gaining £500 to renovate a redundant telephone box into a book exchange for the community.

The Abbey Farm site, which is made up of 175 properties, has a range of four and five-bedroom homes available from £385,995.

Located five miles north of Swindon with easy access to the town centre and the M4, the development offers a perfect combination of Cotswold country living with all the conveniences of the town.

Libby Bolton, area sales manager at Redrow South West, said: “We want to see the communities in the areas we build new houses in thriving and supporting local organisations and initiatives is a great way to do this.

“We’re keen to hear from people in Swindon about how this community funding should best be spent to benefit as many people as possible.”

For those interested in applying for the fund, please send a brief description of how you would like to use the fund to [email protected] by Friday 14 June.
