CCTV images have been released as part of an investigation into an armed robbery at a store in Swindon.

At approximately 7.45pm on Saturday 3 February, a man entered the Iceland store in Cricklade Road holding what is believed to have been a metal bar.

The man demanded money from the till – he fled the store with notes, small change and vouchers

As he left the store, it is believed he turned right down Cricklade Road.

The man was wearing a scarf across his face, and had a blue and grey coloured jacket on with black trousers.

Detective Constable Jared Yalden said: “This was understandably a very frightening incident for the staff member involved – fortunately nobody was injured.

“This incident happened fairly early on in the evening – it is very likely that there would have been people in the local area at the time, either walking or driving past.

“If you saw or heard anything suspicious, please get in touch. Any information could be crucial to our investigation.”
