Witness appeal after altercation near Queens Drive

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after an altercation between a group of youths where a 16-year-old boy was assaulted.

The incident happened around 5pm on Friday 28 July 2017 on the cycle/footpath which runs past Lainesmead Primary School and involved a group of approximately 30 youths.

The victim received cuts and bruising to his legs and was taken to hospital for treatment and was released on the same day.

Det Con Sandra Higgins-Hughes said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area at this time.
“If you heard or saw the altercation or anything suspicious please contact Swindon CID.”
