Police are appealing for information regarding an assault which occurred at the junction of Blunsdon Road/Pond Street in Haydon Wick, Swindon.
Just after 8:00 pm on 17 April 2018 a 19 year old local man was assaulted in what appears to be an unprovoked attack.
The suspects are described as white, aged in their mid to late teens, approximately 5’10 and of thin build. They both wore hooded jackets with the hoods up and had mountain bikes.
The victim was shouted at by the pair and then they assaulted him hitting him to the head. He fell to the floor and the suspects continued to kick him.
Fortunately a member of the public intervened and shouted at the offenders who got back on their bikes and rode away towards Pond Street. He helped the victim to get to safety and police and paramedics were called.
The victim was treated at Great Western Hospital for facial injuries.
PC Jack Newman is appealing for anyone with information on this incident to come forward. He would particularly like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Tuesday 17 April and saw two people matching the description.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Newman at Gablecross Police Station on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously if preferred.
