Known for her signature high-gloss lip portraits, Pope’s pieces filled the gallery space with bold, photo-real paintings and limited edition prints, some incorporating real lipstick. Her work, which explores themes of beauty, desire and femininity, drew a large audience including collectors, local artists and art fans.
Sara Pope, who once designed shoes for Paul Smith, has exhibited internationally with pieces shown at The Saatchi Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, SCOPE Miami and Paris’s Next Street Gallery. She is a regular contributor to Bonhams auctions.
The launch event featured music from local DJs and drinks from the bar, adding to the lively atmosphere as guests explored the collection.

Mark Pepper, founder of Oink Gallery, said:
“This was a perfect example of what Oink is all about, bringing international quality art experiences to Swindon, in a space that’s open, accessible and full of energy.”
The Sara Pope x Oink exhibition runs throughout November.
